Q: What is Regia NA?
A: Regia NA is the US branch of Regia Anglorum. Your membership document
is issued from Regia Anglorum in the UK and is the same one provided to all
Regia Anglorum members. You will also receive your issues of the Chronicle
sent from the UK via airmail.
Q: How much does Regia NA membership cost?
A: Dues are $25.
10 pounds sterling of that is the 'capatation fee' for Regia.
The remainder goes into the Regia NA treasury.
Memberships run from October to October of each calendar year and are not
pro-rated, so if you join in December or even May, your membership is due
again in October. If you join after August first your dues will count for
the following year.
Q: Is there a Member's Handbook?
A: Yes, they can be ordered for $25 + $4.00 postage from the Regia Anglorum North America Publications officer.

Q: Can I be an Anglo-Saxon?
A: Yes.
Q: Do I have to be an Anglo-Saxon?
A: No.
Q: Can I be an Celt?
A: Well, 'Celt' is a big word. You can be Cymru. There really were no
'Celts' before the 19th century.
Q: Where is Regia NA located?
A: At the moment the group is in it's infancy. There are members and
interested parties distributed around North America. Current knots of
interest are in Canada, Northern California, Texas, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, New England and
the Washington DC area.
Q: Can I use this this nifty expensive thing, which I have just purchased, at Regia events?
A: Well, if it is documentable for the time and place that is specified
for the event, and it is appropriate for a person of your social standing
to use such a nifty expensive thing, then sure it's ok. But you probably
should have checked with the group or possibly the authenticity officer before
spending all that money. Just because the person who sold it to you said
it was ok for the era, doesn't mean it is correct, or safe for our purposes.
Q: Have you filled out the member's survey?
A: If not, drop a note to regia_us_info@yahoo.com , and we will email it to you.
Q: Can I ask a history question?
A: Sure, but first check Regia's Web site at www.regia.org. Your question might already have been answered.
Q: How do you pronounce Regia?
A: Hard 'G'.
Q: How do you pronounce Geforšian Strandi?
A: Yeforthian Strandi. The 'š' is an 'eth' which is actually a leftover rune and is pronounced like the 'th' in 'the'.
Q: What if my question wasn't on this list?
A: Send your questions to: regia_us_info@yahoo.com
