The Leaders of Geforđian Strandi
George Johnson is 51, the father of four, and a teacher who specializes in the education of talented and gifted students. He is married to Jeanne Johnson, He has a military background and certification in secondary, elementary and gifted education. He teaches in a rural Appalachian school district, and is currently working on his master’s degree. He collects antique Christmas decorations and have written three books on the subject.
George has also been a member of the SCA since 1973, where he is known as Talymar. In the SCA he has been King of the Middle Kingdom three times - twice as the War King. He received his SCA Knighthood in 1979. He was also awarded a Pelican for service especially for other things--educational presentations. He has served as a deputy kingdom seneschal for organizing and fostering new groups and a deputy for educational services and presentations. He has also held other local and baronial offices and received many barony and kingdom level service awards.
He served as a corporate director for the SCA, Inc. as well as ombudsman for martial activities for several kingdoms. He was on the SCA Board of Directors when Drachenwald (Europe) became a kingdom.
He has been a member of Regia for a little over a year.

Treasurer - Jeanne Johnson
Jeanne Johnson is married to George Johnson. She grew up outside Detroit, Michigan, and is a high school English teacher who is on sabbatical to teach freshman English composition at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
She has been in the SCA for 19 years, where she is known as Melisande de Marmande. She is a Court Baroness, a Laurel in costuming and a Pelican for service. Since 1983, She has been working with George on educational presentations, specifically in first person presentations of living history. She has run the SCA's Middle Kingdom information office and helped with the correspondence of George’s corporate office. Currently she helps run the Middle Kingdom Crown List.
